Outrageous Heroines: Rose Loomis

The UK’s Metro newspaper singles out Rose Loomis, played by Marilyn in 1953’s Niagara, as one of Hollywood’s most unforgettable bad girls:

“Monroe’s va-va-voom was most often corseted by naïve and/or dumb comic characters – but in this film noir she’s a fully fledged femme fatale, using her sexuality with chilling calculation to control men. Or, as the poster blares: ‘She’s a raging torrent of emotion that even nature can’t control!’”
